完成したモエレ沼公園を見に、北海道へ。 I headed for Hokkaido with the purpose to see the completed Moerenuma Park, designed by Isamu Noguchi.
台風の中何とか飛行機は飛び、まずは小樽へ。古い建物が残っています。
In the midst of Tyhoon, the plane managed to fly. At first, I went to Otaru, where old buildings still remained.
ランチにお寿司とソイ汁。
I ate sushi and soi soup for lunch. Soi is a name of fish. I don't know its English name.
この建物はホテルにリノベーションされてます。もともとは銀行だったとか。
This building, which once was a bank, has been renovated into a hotel.
有名な小樽の倉庫街。
Otaru is famous for this strehouses, most of which has been renovated into shops.
旭山動物園にて。ペンギンは、海を飛ぶ鳥なのです。
I took this picture in Asahiyama Zoo. This picture shows penguin is a bird who can fly in the ocean.
オランウータンが頭上をするすると通り過ぎて行きました。良く見ると子供を抱えてます。
An orangutan, hanging from a bridge, passed above us with a baby embraced.
札幌名物スープカレー。スパイシーですごくおいしかった。
This is sapporo's specialty, "soup curry," which is spicy curry based on Sri Lanka curry. So tasty.
メインのアプローチ。ガラスのピラミッド「HIDAMARI」が見える。
Main approach to the Moerenuma Park, from where you can see glass pyramid "HIDAMARI."
ガラスのピラミッド内観。名前の通り、日がさんさんと入ってきてとても気持ちがいい。
Inside HIDAMARI, full of sunlight made me feel relaxed.
ガラスを通してモエレ山が見えます。
You can see Moere mountain through the glass of HIDAMARI.
モエレ山頂上からは周りが一望できます。高さは62m。
From the top of Moere mountain, I could see a panoramic view around there. The altitude was 62m.
プレイマウンテン頂上より。幾何学的なマスタープランの様子が少しわかります。なるほど、大地の彫刻。
I guess you can figure out the geometric masterplan of this park from this picture I took at the top of Play mountain. Well, that coule be what he said "sculpture on the earth."
イサムノグチのデザインによる遊び場。楽しそうだ。
This playground, designed by Isamu Noguchi, looked fun.
モエレ山とブラックスライドマントラの中間のようにも見えます。
This looked something intermediate Moere mountain and Black Slide Mantra.
海の噴水。大きく揺れる波からは自然の造形の美しさが感じられます。
I felt the beauty of nature while looking this surging water.
札幌ドーム展望台より。左手に見えるのは羊ヶ丘。
From the observatory of Sapporo Dome. In the left, you can see Sheep hill, one of the most famous tourist spots in Sapporo.
設計は京都駅でも有名な原広司。
This Sapporo Dome was designed by Hiroshi Hara, who was famous for designing Kyoto terminal.
